Welcome to the Primary School blog!
We had a great start to our school year as we greeted 52 Preschoolers, 79 Kindergarteners, and 99 First Graders!

Bus Announcement!
Please be aware that the bus times have varied during our first week as everyone gets used to the routine. Parents should be at the bus stop 10 minutes before expected and 10 minutes after to be sure! Also, please review the bus expectations for behavior with your child. This may be found in the Parent-Student Handbook which is posted on our website.

Parents are asked to please send in a note if you will be picking up your child that day.
Please do not come to the main office for parent pick up. Parent pick up is at the end of the building on Gleason Court.
We ask that no one parks in front of the building (where the curb is painted yellow) at any time during the day per the Fire Dept.
Please complete the information in the packets that went home as soon as possible.
Preschool parents are asked to walk with your child on the sidewalk and not on the road. There are delivery trucks passing through and we want to be sure our children are safe. As you wait, please see that you are on the pavement in front of the doors or on the grassy area. Please do not stand in the handicap parking spaces. Thank you for your assistance in this matter!
Our field trip to Southwick's Zoo for Kindergarten and Grade 1 is scheduled for October 14th. All parents are welcome to chaperone but we can not accommodate any siblings that day. If you are thinking of joining us you will need a current CORI form on file. You can find one in the opening day packet or on the Douglas website. More information will be coming!!!
The first PTO meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 6th at 7 pm in the Elementary School library.
