Douglas Primary School

Pumpkin Math Activity

Using the pumpkins from our field trip the Kindergarten students had to:
  • measure the height by using unifix cubes & record the # of cubes used
  • measure the circumference by using a piece of yarn
  • predict: will the pumpkin sink or float?
  • creatively decorate the pumpkin!
  • draw a picture of the pumpkin before/after it was decorated!
Thank you to our parent volunteers for helping
 with this activity!
