Douglas Primary School Week of May 18, 2015

Douglas Primary School

 Week of May 18, 2015

Field Day was held today for all Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes. The morning began with an Animal Adventure Show sponsored by the PTO.

Animal Adventures - Animal Adventures is a rescue organization that takes in exotic animals who have been abandoned and cannot be released into the wild. They will do a one hour show where they will educate the children on the animals and why they do not make good pets. They will be bringing an assortment of animals with them including hedgehogs, skunks, turtles, chinchillas, alligators, and snakes.  Children will usually have an opportunity to pet and sometimes hold the animals.

Fun activities were planned in each classroom for the rest of the morning. Lunch and recess were held as usual. The outdoor activities began at 12:30. Our Physical Education teacher, Mr. Larry Pierce organized many fun games for the day. Each class rotated to each of the eight stations. Thank you to the PTO and to the parent volunteers for a great day of fun!

Thank you Mr. Pierce! Everyone had a fun day!
